Breathwork 

An important part of our daily life is the good function of our respiratory system.

Breathwork is a simple practice with no special locks or bandhas required (NB: Pranayama is a different practice using locks or bandhas and can be difficult to learn) yet still a practice that is extremely effective in creating better health and well-being. It is suitable for most people, but advisable to check with your health practitioner beforehand if you have any concerns. 

One of the most powerful aspects is regulating our breathing. Switching off our stress response and switching to our relaxation response, also known as the Parasympathetic Nervous System. This helps us to regulate our fight or flight mode during anxiety and panic. The Parasympathetic Nervous System also helps to slow down our heartbeat and aids digestion

Regular practice of breathwork can help increase our energy and also help us to relax more. Helping serve our nervous system.

When we are in a more calm and relaxed state, we deliver better oxygen to our body, including our brain, helping us to think clearer.
